Zoom BYOC SBC

Our Zoom BYOC SBC connects your existing telephony infrastructure to Zoom Phone or Zoom Contact Center, allowing you to use Zoom while keeping your existing carrier and telephone numbers.

The gateway acts as a Session Border Controller (SBC) between your carrier and Zoom, providing secure SIP connectivity, call routing and interoperability with your existing telephony infrastructure.

Overview of the GILAWA Zoom BYOC SBC, a Kamailio-based add-on for connecting existing carrier infrastructure to Zoom.

  • SIP connectivity between your existing telephony infrastructure and Zoom Phone / Zoom Contact Center
  • SBC functionality for Zoom BYOC-P and BYOP-P deployments
  • Secure SIP signalling using TLS
  • Secure media using SRTP

System requirements

  • Virtual machine or physical server for the SBC
  • Linux operating system
  • One public IPv4 address with forward DNS configured
  • Public FQDN and trusted TLS certificate for the SBC
  • SIP connectivity to your existing carrier or PBX
  • Network connectivity between the SBC and Zoom
  • Firewall configuration allowing SIP/TLS and RTP traffic
  • Zoom Phone or Zoom Contact Center license and administrator access
  • SSH/root access for installation and test support

The exact infrastructure requirements depend on the deployment architecture, call volume and redundancy requirements.
