Kamailio administrator and engineer training

We offer two training packages covering different skill levels and individual needs. Both packages include hands-on exercises and additional lab experiences. The trainings will be done in a central location in a small group setting. Hands-on lab exercises will be done on Linux cloud servers, only a laptop is required.

First Package: 4 days – from 24th April to 27th April 2023

Day 1: SIP Foundation

• Voice over IP Basics
• Important SIP standards
• SIP requests and replies
• SIP Transactions, SIP Dialog, Routing and Record-Routing
• VoIP network elements
• SIP transport protocols and DNS (e.g., SRV, NAPTR)
• Session Description Protocol, voice codecs, VoIP quality

Day 2: Kamailio Foundation 1

• Kamailio as SIP-Proxy
• Kamailio overview and architecture
• Kamailio request/reply processing and routing
• Kamailio configuration overview
• Configuration language, pseudo-variables, and transformations
• Walk-Through Kamailio default configuration

Day 3: Kamailio Foundation 2

• Kamailio Hands-On Lab
• Installation and deployment of Kamailio
• Different phone tests
• Debugging Tools
• Operation, logging, and monitoring
• Result review and Q&A

Day 4: Kamailio Advanced & Lab

• Configuration Management
• Analyzing performance issues
• Advanced Kamailio topics (htable, replication, topology hiding)
• VoIP security (rate limiting, denial of service protection, encryption)
• Different lab exercises related to these topics

Second Package: 3 days – from 25th April to 27th April 2023

Package 1

Details about the training

• Training and documentation, lunch, daily snack, and beverages
• Social event at a restaurant, including meal and drinks
• We do not give refunds on late cancellations or no-shows, cancellation has to be sent to us at least two weeks in advance
• the training starts at 10:00 on Monday, Tuesday to Thursday 9:00 to 17:00
• Accommodation is excluded, but we can recommend different options

Prerequisites

• the participants needs to be able to install software on their laptops
• the participants should have a basic understanding of Linux OS
• the training language is English
